Major new construction projects are popping up across the region, with hot spots in every community. Think big projects, like hospitals and schools, bridges and highways, pipelines, high rise commercial buildings and residential developments. Plus, with many in the industry planning to retire, employers will be looking for new, skilled tradespeople to be able to complete these big projects. The Foundations for the Trades Academy is your jump start into the construction industry. In just seven weeks, you’ll start to build your career path in the industry with this apprenticeship preparation program and:
Develop your foundational construction skills in the classroom and apply them in field
Earn industry-recognized credentials including First Aid/CPR, OSHA 10, and National Flagging certifications
Learn how to market your skills on a resume, perform job searches and interview with employers
Connect with and meet local construction employers that are hiring for apprentices and workers in the area
